There are two kind of report,direct and indirect
We
use the direct speech to report
something that another person has said.
DIRECT: subject/ who produces the speech
Example:
-Carlos
said “I am tired”
-Alice said, "I love to dance."
-"I was working late last night," Vicki said.

In the indirect speech you do not use
the marks and the verbal time changes.
Sometimes we use that in the affirmative
