SUBJECT + VERB TO BE (PRESENT) + COMPLEMENT.

Exemple:                               The boy   eats   chocolate

 

                                     The girl run in the park 

 

SUBJECT + TO BE (PRESENT)+ VERB TO BE (P.P) + COMPLEMENT

example:  The Earth          is         illuminated        by the sun

THE PASSIVE VOICE

OBJECT + VERB TO BE(CONJUGATED) + PAST PARTICIPLE + COMPLEMENT

If the verb in the actice voice is in present  tense we say:

Example:  The house is/are built by Carlos

Past tense:   The house was/were built by Carlos

Present perfect:  The house have/has been built by Carlos
